Lab and field tests yield valuable results regarding the
development in the technology of the fuel cell heater. Since
2001 Hexis has been testing the pilot model «HXS 1000
Premiere» under real conditions - in cooperation with
partners of the power supply industry from Switzerland, Germany
and Austria. In peak periods up to 110 systems ran simultaneously.
During the field test numerous home owners could cover both
their basic power requirements and their entire heat requirements
with a Hexis fuel cell system. The tests with «HXS 1000 Premiere» are supposed to be continued until 2008. The field test for its successor «Galileo 1000 N» has been started at the end of 2006.
