Since January 2006 the company is independent and trades under the name of Hexis Ltd. The activities are continued with a new investor. A team consisting of 15 members around managing director Dr. Alexander Schuler works on the development of the high-temperature fuel cell of the type SOFC. Existing co-operations with suppliers are cultivated. Also partners from the power supply industry signal strong interest in further cooperation. A new trend can be seen in the fuel cell net "Swiss SOFC Consortium" initiated by Hexis Ltd., in which scientists of different Swiss universities and companies work on the development of the SOFC.
