In 2005 the Hexis Ltd., then still venture division of the Sulzer Group, received the
f-cell Award Gold for the evolution of the fuel cell heater «Galileo 1000 N». With this innovation price exceptional and close-to-application developments in the field of fuel cells are honoured since 2001. Initiators are the environment ministry of Baden-Württemberg, the Wirtschaftsförderung Region Stuttgart GmbH and the EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG; the prize amount is donated by the state of Baden-Württemberg. The evaluation follows these criteria: technological concept, innovation height, market potential, profitability, impact on other sectors as well as benefits for environment and society. The members of the jury are all experts from economy, science and politics.
